Description

"Principality of Gallia/Franziska Volker

Living in the central Europan region with a nice view to the sea, a broad selection of vacationing spots in her property and LOADS upon LOADS of Ragnite and other natural resources waiting to make her filthy stinkin´ rich, Gallia is sitting (not so) pretty between the Federation and the Empire as they duke it out on a daily basis. Following her own strict neutrality policy, Gallia tried her best to keep out of the war but, she is sitting on a crossroads AND has an abundance of juicy natural resources that both the Federation and the Empire eye on quite a lot. Not too surprisingly she ended up being dragged into both Europan Wars. Way more surprisingly though is the fact that, being considered a definite underdog when it comes to military power, she held her own and fought the good fight both times, remaining out to the reach of both the Empire´s invasions and the Federation´s schemes. After the Wars and the Civil War that erupted on her land not long after the Second Europan War (in no small part thanks to the Federation and his shaddy dealings), she´s been living it quietly on her own little corner, rebuilding her house bit by bit and watching the Federation and the Empire break each other´s nose from the sidelines.

She´s usually good-spirited, kind, cheery and easy going, especially to guests on her house. She´s also a strict "stay out, keep out" kind of nation - she refuses to take sides in the raging war and refuses to let anyone roll over her property. Trespass on her land or threaten her independence though and she´ll bring everything she´s got to savage you and kick you out of her property in the most painful way possible. Both the Federation and the Empire learned the hard way that one mad Gallia is far more dangerous than both of them combined... good thing she´s not out for war...

She wears a Gallian Militia´s female officer´s uniform (Captain Elanor Varrot´s with some mods to be exact) in the darker blue color scheme of the Regular Army primarily and a Gallian Milita´s female scout uniform in army colors secondarily.

She is armed with a Gallian-4 Semi-Automatic Rifle"

AAAAAAH; TEH RAAAAAAGE :pissedoff:.... Poor Gallia, poor, poor Gallia. Her officer version came out very well, actually... her scout version came out HOOORIIIIBLYYYY XP Like said before, I erased her so many times that her outlines got out of place and... well... you can see the result... I´m embrased, really, really... embaraced.
Also, I´ve read in a load of places that fan artists tends to find males harder to draw than females-ARE YOU GUYS FOR REAL!?!? I speak for myself here, but males are so much more easy to draw than females, their very outline is far less curved than the females´, HOW ARE THEY HARDER!?

Anyway... rant over, back to Gallia:

-- The name "Franziska Volker" is due to:

1- "Franziska" is a reference to the character "Franziska von Karma" of the Phoenix Wright games. Personality wise, Gallia has nothing to do with Franziska, so don´t try to go there. Other than the reference value to it, I just like the name "Franziska", the Z just slides through your lips quite sleekly. ^ ^

2- In German, "Volk" means "people", as in "the people of X nation". So the surname "Volker" is meant to reference her devotion to her own people.

-- The motto “Salus Populi Suprema Lex Esto” means "Let the good of the people be the supreme law". Like the surname "Volker", this motto is supposed to relate to the national philosophy I took to attach to Gallia that the people come first and their welfare is a top priority. Archduchess Cordelia always seemed like that kind of ruler.

OK, Gallia 101 - done

Stay awesome, DA ;D
